Tips for macro programmers:-

Use the ME10 editor - it's simple and quick. Size it so you can still see the menus at the right.

Set the function keys to edit and input the file you are working on. Also set them to start and finish/edit trace files.

Save and test your macros often.

Whenever you make big changes to macros, keep a copy of the previous section commented out in case the new stuff doesn't work!

Indent your macros a couple of spaces at if, loop and while commands to help locate parts of the macro (use the edit_macro command to see how ME10 indents macros in memory).

Include lots of explanatory comments - it may seem simple now but will you still be able to follow it in a couple of weeks?
